Upcoming Shows

Diverse Locals

Curated by Michaela Stoneman, South Taranaki District Council Arts Co-ordinator

Tuesday 6th March – Saturday 31st March 2018

Diverse Locals will feature visual artworks by South Taranaki artists under the broad theme of celebrating our cultural diversity. Each artist will show one work each completed within the last 12 months. Works on display will showcase the talents and artistic skill of South Taranaki to inspire, educate, stimulate and excite. Perceptions of identity and possibilities of expression will be explored, enjoyed and valued.

The exhibition will present works by individuals and will include an interactive activity for gallery visitors to participate in.

The broad theme of the show is cultural diversity – this can include sub-themes of identity, gender, race, individuality and the right of self-expression.
