Whiti | A Collection of Indigenous Creative Excellence

The opening exhibition of Whiti | A Collection of Indigenous Creative Excellence provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase the artistic brilliance of indigenous art and culture.

Presented by Te Ātinga Contemporary Māori Arts and Toi o Taranaki Maunga, the esteemed exhibition demonstrates the talents of their renowned artists, such as Tāme Iti, Tāwera Tahuri, Erena Koopu, Joe Seymour, Natasha Keating, Randal Leach, Bethany Edmonds, Gabrielle Belz, Nick Tupara, and many others.

Curated by Bonita Bigham KSM, who participated in the Indigenous Artist Gathering 2026, this exhibition was a testament to exceptional indigenous artistry, and we were privileged to present their works.

The exhibition is on display at the Lysaght Watt Gallery during 1 March to 4 April, 2026. We welcome you to visit the gallery and see the works the artists have created to share, educate, embrace, reminisce, marvel and inspire. Entrance is free. We are open during normal operating days and hours.
